Content Gaps: When and How to Repurpose Your Content
Oct 27, 2020 | Carlie Cody - Director of Client Success
We hear it all the time: content is king; but it can definitely be time and cost consuming for many organizations. If you’re struggling to create new content for Doximity due to budget or time constraints, we have a few suggestions. In that case, your Client Success Team can guide you on how to repurpose your content to maximize your brand awareness, stay current in the Newsfeed, and ensure you’re creating a year-round content journey.
What should you do when you’d like to repurpose content?
- Your Client Success Team will work with you to review content your team has previously published on the platform and use data insights to select pieces that performed well.
- The Doximity team will send the piece to our medical writing team for a content “refresh.” This process includes new headline options, images, and ensures that relevant scientific information is updated.
- While it’s important to target a new audience to maximize your investment, retargeting the group that has already seen the content will ensure your brand hits home.
The Doximity team is always available to provide strategic recommendations and our solution, Press Boost, makes developing content for the Newsfeed a turnkey process.
Solid Metrics on Repeat
One hospital partner deployed 34 pieces of content from January - April 2019. The Client Success Team analyzed the performance and chose 14 pieces of content to repurpose. Those 14 pieces had an average impression rate of 35% and a view rate of 28%, right in line with our average benchmarks.
Once we refreshed the content and retargeted the same users—this time from October - December 2019—the pieces once again performed on par with our average benchmarks with an average impression rate of 40% and a view rate of 29%.
