Getting Ready for U.S. News Survey Season
As we head into the new year, we inevitably get a lot of questions about U.S. News and World Report’s annual expert opinion survey, a component of their Best Hospitals rankings process. We’ve consolidated our top resources for hospital marketers and physicians to be prepared.
Doximity is the exclusive provider of the expert opinion survey. Physicians must be board-certified and credential-verified members of Doximity to participate in the online survey. Unlike in previous years, physicians can register on Doximity anytime before the survey ends to participate. For any physicians who have questions about how to get registered and verified on Doximity, check out this comprehensive step-by-step guide. For further assistance, physicians can contact our support team directly at support@doximity.com.
Additionally, physicians must meet the qualifications specific to each specialty. These qualifications include medical licensure, board certification, specialty/subspecialty, and in some instances, Doximity specialty/sub-specialty. View the full eligibility criteria for each specialty here.
Physicians that meet the above qualifications will receive a notification in their Doximity app prompting them to nominate up to 5 hospitals for the U.S. News Best Hospitals or up to 10 hospitals for the Best Children’s Hospitals in their specialty. A physician with more than one board certification will generally receive the survey for their least common specialty.
Although Doximity hosts the survey, U.S. News manages all results, timing, and methodology. Their Second Opinion blog is a great resource for any additional questions.
